The Trady //

Hi. I'm Guilad. The Digital Trady

I'm a web designer and developer based in Melbourne, and I've been buildingwebsites professionally since 2020. when I traded a product design career for a laptop, an internet connection, and a whole lot of curiosity about how the web actually works.

Before that, I spent seven years in formal design education.

Before that, I was in Israel, where I grew up. These days I'm in Melbourne with my family, running a one-person studio called TheDigital Trady.

Why "The Digital Trady"?

The tradie analogy is deliberate.

A good tradie doesn't turn up with one tool and hope it fits.
They ask what needs fixing, assess what they're working with, and choose the right approach for the job.

That's how I work. WordPress, Shopify, custom CMS, Elementor, raw code, I'm fluent in all of them. The platform follows the brief, not the other way around. And like any good tradie, I show up, I do the job properly, and I'm still there when you need something fixed later.

What I actually believe about websites

Most small business websites are built for the person who made them, not the business that needs them.
They're templates that almost fit, or over-engineered builds that the owner can't maintain, or beautiful things that don't convert a single visitor.A website should do a job.
It should represent your business accurately, load fast, work on every device, and give your customers a clear path to doing business with you. Everything else is decoration.

What it's like working with me

Fairly relaxed, honestly.
I don't need you to know what you want before we start, that's my job. I ask a lot of questions at the beginning, I check in regularly, and I explain decisions in plain language.
I work with a mix of clients, tradies, coaches, retail, professional services, education.
What they have in common isn't the industry. It's that they care about their business and want someone who cares about it too.
